I Shall Not Live in Vain

If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.
— Emily Dickinson

Led Zeppelin

Sometimes music are better than sex. Music last longer...
Listen to Led Zeppelin is like making out...
Jimmy Page plays like making love with the guitar, John Paul Jones with the bass, John Bonham with the drums and Robert Plant with the audiences.

Live Simply

Live simply so that others may simply live
— to detach with material things, including, in the first place, money.
— to detach with distorted beliefs, including ideas of how things ought to be, how people should live their lives.
— to detach with destructive emotion, such as anger, resentment, revenge, jealousy, hatred, shame, guilt, regret, blame and most important of all, fear.......

And take responsibility, starting with yourself, your own body, mind, emotions and then the people and things in your immediate circle. In this way, you live at all times as you would want everyone to live, in peace, with respect, in compassion, with forgiveness, in service, with generosity, in humility, with humanity, and the other noble virtues we have been pondering since the time of Socrates and Confucius.

And yet that's not enough

Summer is fleeing.
And soon will be nothing left.
We're so happy in the sun
And yet that's not enough.
A four-leaves clover rests on my hand
And yet that's not enough.
Good and evil haven't passed in vain.
All was limpid and bright
And yet that's not enough.
Life takes me under its wing
and carries me off.
I have been lucky
And yet that's not enough.
Leaves and twigs aren't dead
The day is as clear as crystal
And yet that's not enough.

Mozart - Piano Concerto No.19, K.459 (Murray Perahia)

Let me tell you how this piece of music came to me!

I parked my car behind Chapter in Ottawa, waiting to pick up my teen daughter finish her work. It was winter, snow still on the ground and there was no way to be melt soon.

It was cold, normally Ottawa's winter bitterly cold. I sat inside the car and my mind started wondering off….  What this life lead me to? I spend most of my "as a mother" life in waiting, waiting to pick up the girls after school, after piano lessons, after birthday parties, after sleep overs, in the doctor's office, the dentist's, I did, while waiting, I saw my life passing before my eyes...

I opened the car door to catch some fresh air, and I looked down, there was a cassette tape on the snow, I picked it up, it was Mozart's Piano concerto #18 in B flat major, K456 and Piano concerto #19 in F major, K459 on the other side.

I put it into my car cassette deck and... it was like in heaven. At that moment, I was so alive in this lovely country on this planet earth listen to Mozart. The angels' flavour, the rest was really doesn't matter...

北島 Bei Dao

Zhao Zhenkai, August 2, 1949, is a Chinese poet. He has been nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature many times.

"Yes, We Can"

With so many people lost their jobs
(525,000 in U.S. and 129,000 in Canada)
or their retirement savings
everyone is affected directly or indirectly
How can we cope with this diversity?
Quoted from President Barack Obama
"Yes, We Can"
By counting our having
(blessing sound too religious)
We have our health and our loved ones' health
We have our family
We have roof and good food
We have our freedom to do what we love to do
